PDP Confirms New Leadership Under Wike's Support

The People's Democratic Party (PDP) held a significant meeting in Abuja on a Sunday, where it affirmed Abdulrahman Mohammed as the National Chairman and Samuel Anyanwu as the National Secretary. This decision was supported by Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory.

The endorsement came from a substantial gathering of 2,500 delegates who participated in the motion moved by the House Minority Leader, Kingsley Chinda, and seconded by Usman Adamu. The meeting also confirmed a 19-member National Working Committee (NWC), which includes Aaron Chukwuemeka as Deputy National Chairman (South), Yusufu Nya Akirikwen as Deputy National Chairman (North), and Kolawal Olabisi as Deputy National Secretary.

Other notable appointments included Odeyemei Mackson as National Treasurer and Lado Dan Mark as Deputy National Treasurer, among others. The assembly highlighted the party's commitment to its leadership structure and future direction.
