Wike's PDP Faction Begins Renovation of National Secretariat

The faction of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) backed by Nyesom Wike has initiated renovation work at the party's national secretariat, Wadata Plaza, located in Abuja. This development follows the unsealing of the premises, allowing access for renovation activities to commence.

The renovations began on Sunday and include painting, replacing air conditioning units, and changing locks for offices allocated to new National Working Committee (NWC) members. Despite the ongoing renovations, staff members of the national secretariat have yet to resume work.

The faction led by Tanimu Turaki has expressed challenges in resuming operations, particularly in writing reports. Abdulrahman Moha, the faction's national chairman, announced the reopening of the PDP national secretariat and the presidential campaign office at Legacy House, Maitama.

The Turaki-led faction has described the unsealing of the property as contemptuous, citing a police appeal that they believe undermines a court judgment.
