Wike Challenges Evo Kingdom on Amaechi's Project Record

Nyesom Wike, the Federal Capital Territory Minister, publicly challenged the people of Evo Kingdom in Obio-Akpor Local Government Area, Rivers State, to identify any project or development that former Governor Rotimi Amaechi delivered during his 24 years in high political office. Wike made these remarks during an interactive session with traditional rulers and community leaders, contrasting his leadership style with what he described as decades of self-serving politics by Amaechi.

He highlighted Amaechi's combined tenure as Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Governor of Rivers State, and Minister, each lasting eight years. Wike also mentioned his own brief tenure as Minister of State for Education, during which he claimed to have delivered projects for his constituents.

He expressed a sense of fulfillment and stated he has no personal political ambitions moving forward. Wike emphasized the need for nurturing future leaders and mentioned restructuring the chieftaincy institution for better representation of Evo Kingdom in the Rivers State Council of Traditional Rulers.

Traditional and political leaders present pledged support for President and candidates backed by the Rainbow Coalition.
