Wike Rejects Claims of PDP-APM Alliance Ahead of 2027

Nyesom Wike, serving as the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, dismissed allegations of an alliance between the People's Democratic Party (PDP) and the People's Movement (APM), referring to the reports as "political 419." Wike made these statements during an inspection of ongoing road projects in the Gomani Yangoji area of the Kwali Area Council in Abuja. He accused the Governor of Oyo State of misleading Nigerians regarding the supposed alliance ahead of the 2027 elections.

Wike emphasized that neither the PDP nor the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is aware of any such arrangement. He also mentioned ongoing activities within the PDP, including the screening of presidential and governorship aspirants for the upcoming 2027 general elections.

The screening for governorship aspirants is scheduled to take place at noon at the PDP national secretariat annex in Legacy House, Maitama, Abuja, while presidential aspirants will appear before the screening committee at 2 PM.
