PDP Disclaims Alliance with APM, Wike Clarifies Position

The People's Democratic Party (PDP), under the leadership of Nyesom Wike, has officially disclaimed any alliance with the faction of the People's Movement (APM) led by Tanimu Turaki. During a press conference, Wike stated unequivocally that the PDP is not involved in any coalition agreement with the APM and that any claims suggesting otherwise are made without the party's knowledge or consent.

He accused Governor Seyi Makinde of attempting to mislead the public and create a false impression of political relevance through these claims. Wike also noted that the PDP has faced media attacks and propaganda aimed at distorting the Supreme Court judgment and causing confusion within the party.

He asserted that the recent political maneuvers by Makinde and others have failed to gain traction and have exposed their true agenda, which he described as an attempt to undermine the PDP.
