Amadi Critiques Fubara's Political Leverage in Rivers State

Sam Amadi, the former chairman of the Nigeria Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC), commented on the political situation in Rivers State, asserting that Governor Fubara should have recognized his lack of leverage in confronting political opponents. Amadi's remarks were made on Monday via a post on his social media handle, addressing the dynamics within the All Progressives Congress (APC) as it prepares for the 2027 Rivers State Assembly elections.

He noted that Fubara reportedly failed to pass the screening committee of the APC, which had cleared 29 out of 32 aspirants. Amadi emphasized that Fubara has not engaged in significant political battles, suggesting that he has not fought for principles in his political career.

The comments come amid a backdrop of political maneuvering in Rivers State, where Deputy Speaker Dumle Maol participated in the APC primaries.
