APC Supports Wike's Right to Campaign for Any Candidate

Felix Morka, the spokesperson for the All Progressives Congress (APC), asserted that Nyesom Wike, the former governor of Rivers State, has the absolute right to campaign for any candidate in any political party. Morka clarified this position during a telephone interview with Channels Television, emphasizing that Wike's actions are protected under the legal framework of Nigeria.

He noted that as a minister, Wike is not restricted in his political preferences and can support candidates from any party. Morka highlighted that Wike remains a significant stakeholder in Nigerian politics and is entitled to express his political alliances freely, as guaranteed by the Nigerian Constitution.

He reiterated that Wike's rights to support any candidate are within the bounds of the law, suggesting that the APC is comfortable with Wike's unique position despite his formal ties to the opposition People's Democratic Party (PDP).
