Wike Leads Rivers Delegation to Condole Senator Mpigi's Family

On Thursday, Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, led a delegation from Rivers State to London to offer condolences to the family of the late Senator Barinada Mpigi, who represented the Rivers South-East Senatorial District. Wike described Mpigi's death as a significant loss not only to the Ogoni people but to Rivers State and the entire nation.

During the visit, Wike met with the senator's widow, Patricia Obiageri Mpigi, and their children, assuring them of the Rivers State government's continued support and promising assistance to ensure a befitting burial for the late senator. Wike was accompanied by several notable figures, including his son Jordan Joaquin, Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly Martin Amaewhul, and other prominent members of the Rivers State PDP.
