Wike Receives Senator Mpigi's Remains at Abuja Airport

On Monday morning, Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, received the remains of Senator Barinada Mpigi at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, at 5:30 AM. The late Senator, who represented Rivers South-East, passed away in London at the age of 64.

Wike was accompanied by dignitaries, including the chairman of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) Board of Trustees, Mao Ohuabunwa, Senators Philip Aduda, Magnus Ab, Allwel Onyesoh, Olaka Nwogu, and Kingsley Chinda, as well as the Rivers State Coordinator of the Renew Hope Ambassador, Desmond Akawor, and the APC National Vice Chairman for South-South, Victor Giadom. Prior to the arrival of the remains in Nigeria, Wike had visited the late senator's wife and children in London to offer his condolences.
