APC Declares Wike Not a Member Despite Election Support

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has stated that Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, is not a member of their party, despite his open support for APC candidates during the recent area council elections in the Federal Capital Territory. The elections resulted in the APC winning five out of six local government chairmanship positions.

Wike, a member of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), publicly vowed to support the APC candidates and was actively involved in their campaign efforts. Felix Morka, the APC's National Public Secretary, emphasized that Wike's political status has not changed and reiterated that he remains a member of the PDP, despite his actions that aligned with the APC's agenda.
