PDP Affirms Wike's Value Amid APC Commendation

The People's Democratic Party (PDP) has declared Nyesom Wike, the Federal Capital Territory Minister, as a valuable political asset, dismissing suggestions of his permanent alignment with the All Progressives Congress (APC). This statement followed remarks from APC's national chairman, Professor Nentaw Yilwatda, who praised Wike's leadership and contributions to major projects in Abuja.

PDP's statement, issued on Wednesday, emphasized that Wike remains a committed and loyal member of the party, and there are no intentions to relinquish him as a political figure. The PDP clarified that any engagement with the APC-led administration does not signify a political defection or change in Wike's affiliation.

The party reiterated its pride in Wike's achievements in infrastructure development and urban renewal, asserting that he is among PDP's finest assets. Furthermore, PDP advised against any hopes of Wike's permanent acquisition by the APC, maintaining that he will continue to strengthen the party's position in Nigeria's political landscape.
