Governor Wike Assures FCT Residents Ahead of Local Elections Amidst Infrastructure Projects

Governor Wike of Rivers State reassured Federal Capital Territory (FCT) residents of non-interference in the upcoming local government elections despite his political activities. He emphasized the importance of FCT's development projects continuing uninterrupted.

Meanwhile, FCT workers have stopped work due to a joint union action committee's call, leading to disruptions in administrative services. Additionally, over 2,000 FCT workers followed recent promotions based on computer-based tests conducted by the FCT Civil Service Commission.

The FCT administration is yet to issue an official response to the workers' concerns. Governor Wike inspected various infrastructure projects in Abuja, including roads linking institutions like Nile University and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) headquarters.

These projects are seen as vital arteries for traffic flow once completed.
