Wike Addresses Makinde's Presidential Bid and Fubara's APC Status

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, spoke on Thursday regarding Seyi Makinde's declaration of intent to contest for the presidency under the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) in Oyo State. Wike noted that Makinde's presidential ambition follows a memorandum of understanding with a faction of the People's Democratic Party (PDP).

He dismissed concerns about Siminalayi Fubara, the Governor of River State, remaining a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), stating that it is an internal affair of the party. Wike emphasized that Fubara's loyalty to the APC is intact, despite circulating reports suggesting otherwise.

The minister made these comments while inspecting ongoing road projects in the Gwagwalada area of Abuja and also addressed the reconstruction of the River State Psychiatric Hospital and the remodeling of the General Hospital in Rumuigbo, Obio Akpor Local Government Area.
