Wike Welcomes Fubara, Aims for Tinubu's 2027 Re-election

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, welcomed Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara back into his political camp, emphasizing that this reconciliation would enhance support for President Bola Tinubu's re-election in 2027. Fubara had previously been in a political feud with Wike but recently announced his return to the political family that initially supported him.

Wike stated that politics is about building alliances and dismissed the notion of needing forgiveness for political disagreements. He expressed confidence that their renewed alliance would help secure votes for President Tinubu in the upcoming election.

Wike made these remarks while inspecting the ISEX Road project in Abuja, which was flagged off by President Tinubu during a ceremony marking the third anniversary of key infrastructure projects. Wike noted the project's significance for Abuja's development and mentioned ongoing discussions with the Federal Ministry of Finance to ensure the necessary funds are released for its completion.
