ADC Critiques Wike's Remarks on Amaechi's Political Clout

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has criticized Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, for his attempts to undermine the political relevance of Rotimi Amaechi, the former Minister of Transport. The ADC stated that Wike's remarks reflect his fear of the growing opposition against the administration he represents.

During a media chat in Abuja, Wike claimed that Amaechi lacks the political clout to win elections in Rivers State and suggested that the 2027 election is already settled in favor of any party he supports. In response, Chizi Enyi, the Rivers State ADC Publicity Secretary, argued that every election presents unique challenges and that the electorate is increasingly aware.

Enyi emphasized that Wike's focus on attacking Amaechi contradicts his claims that the opposition poses no threat, indicating anxiety rather than confidence. The ADC asserted that Amaechi remains a significant political figure in Rivers State and that elections are determined by the citizens under varying political circumstances.
