PDP Announces Presidential Form Cost and Primaries Dates

Nyesom Wike's faction of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) has officially announced the cost of the presidential nomination form for the upcoming 2027 elections, which is set at 51 million naira. The sale of nomination forms will commence on April 27, 2026, and will continue until May 4, 2026.

The presidential primaries are scheduled to take place on Sunday, May 17, 2026, and Monday, May 18, 2026. Additionally, the PDP has set the nomination fees for other positions: 3 million naira for House of Assembly candidates, 4 million naira for House of Representatives candidates, 6 million naira for Senate candidates, and 21 million naira for governorship candidates.

The announcement also noted that female aspirants would benefit from a fee waiver, in accordance with the provisions of the 2026 Electoral Act and the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
