PDP Criticizes Tinubu Over Nigeria's Security Crisis

On Thursday, the People's Democratic Party (PDP) accused President Tinubu's administration of neglecting the worsening security crisis in Nigeria, stating that the government has allowed terrorist activities to escalate across the country. The PDP's criticism followed a report ranking Nigeria as the fourth globally in terms of the impact of terrorism, alongside three other countries that account for nearly 70 percent of terror-related deaths worldwide.

PDP's National Publicity Secretary, Ini Ememobong, expressed that the current administration's approach has entrenched insecurity and is economically driven. The party emphasized that Nigerians are increasingly frustrated with the persistent attacks and called for decisive measures to curb terrorism, banditry, and kidnapping.

They urged the government to adopt proactive and inclusive strategies to address these pressing security issues, reflecting the growing concern among stakeholders regarding the country's security situation.
