Winners Announced at Ecobank Smartphone Filmmaking Workshop

The Ecobank Smartphone Filmmaking Workshop concluded recently in Lagos, aimed at empowering young Nigerian creatives aged 18 to 25 by highlighting the potential of mobile technology for high-quality storytelling. The workshop, which lasted three days, was led by industry giants Tunde Kelani and Emmi.

The event culminated in a presentation ceremony where top participants were recognized for their documentary projects. Ladi Hephzibah won the first prize worth N1 million, while Emmanuel Chidera received the second prize of N750,000, and Imo David won the third prize of N500,000.

Six finalists, including Ikem Uchechukwu and Princess Anwuli Okalu, also received rewards, including certificates of participation. The program provided a curriculum designed to bridge the gap between passion and profession, with training modules covering story development, mobile techniques, and interview skills.

The workshop underscored Ecobank's commitment to supporting the creator economy in Nigeria.
