Woman Arrested for Allegedly Killing Husband Over Second Marriage Plans

In Rogo town, Kano, a woman named Bilkisu allegedly killed her husband, Gausu, on a Friday evening around 7pm in the Katsalle area. Auwal Kazagi Rogo, a local resident, reported that cries from Bilkisu alerted neighbors, who found Gausu injured with a head wound and a bite mark on his ear.

Initial claims of slaughter were proven incorrect. The police were called to the scene and later took Gausu's body for investigation.

It was revealed that Gausu had plans to marry another woman, which had caused ongoing disputes between him and Bilkisu. Despite interventions from local elders, tensions remained high.

Following the incident, Bilkisu was arrested as the prime suspect. Gausu was buried the next morning according to Islamic rites.

The couple had been married for nearly seven years and had two children, with Bilkisu reportedly pregnant at the time of Gausu's death.
