Women Affairs Minister Honors Outgoing UK Diplomat in Abuja

Hajiya Imaan Sulaiman Ibrahim, the Minister of Women Affairs, commended Gill Lever, the outgoing UK Deputy High Commissioner to Nigeria, for her significant contributions to the country's development during a farewell event held in Abuja. Sulaiman Ibrahim described Lever as a diplomat who earned wide respect and admiration for her commitment and impact across various sectors of Nigerian society.

She expressed gratitude for Lever's engagement and collaboration during her tenure in Nigeria and wished her success in her future endeavors. The Minister reaffirmed Nigeria's commitment to sustaining cordial relations with the UK.

During the ceremony, Sulaiman Ibrahim presented Lever with a souvenir designed by Nigerian fashion designer Rukkayah Suleiman. The event was attended by dignitaries, including Maryam Babangida, Adedayo Benjamin Laniyi, Beatrice Eyong, Gumsu Abacha Buni, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Aisha Abubakar, and veteran actor Joke Silva.
