Workers in Ondo State Seek Help After Unlawful Dismissal for Union Activities

Over 20 workers at a company in Ondo State were sacked for participating in union activities, leading them to seek intervention from President Bola Tinubu, the Senate President, the Ministry of Labour, the Nigeria Labour Congress, and the National Union of Food, Beverage, Tobacco Employees. The workers allege intimidation and illegal termination after forming a union branch.

The company is accused of refusing to pay redundancy benefits and engaging in oppressive practices. The case has been escalated to the Federal Ministry of Labour in Abuja for further investigation and resolution.
