ISMPH Partners with Lagos on Family Planning Awareness

The Institute of Social and Medical Policy and Health (ISMPH) collaborated with Lagos State on a public awareness walk to mark World Contraception Day. The event aimed to promote the use of modern contraceptive methods and empower couples to make informed reproductive choices.

Dr. Folashade Oludara, the Director of Family Health and Nutrition at the Lagos State Ministry of Health, emphasized the importance of raising awareness about modern contraceptive options, debunking myths, and providing youth-friendly access to services.

The event included educational outreach activities and distribution of informational materials to highlight the role of contraception in reducing maternal mortality and promoting healthier communities. The partnership drew participation from health officials, community leaders, residents, and committed to improving access to family planning services.
