Tunisia Football Team Faces Doping Scare at World Cup

During the 2026 FIFA World Cup, eight members of the Tunisian national football team tested positive for the banned substance clenbuterol. The positive results were detected during routine anti-doping tests conducted by FIFA.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the players may have unknowingly ingested the prohibited substance through contaminated meat consumed while staying in Monterrey, Mexico.
