Enyimba, Remo Stars to Gain from FIFA's $355M Program

FIFA has established a $355 million benefit program for clubs that release players during the qualification for the 2026 World Cup, which runs from November 2023 to October 2025. Nigerian clubs Enyimba and Remo Stars are set to benefit from this initiative.

Each club will receive at least $2,360 per player released for the qualification campaign. Remo Stars has released four players, including Adebiyi Obassa, who played eight matches, Kayod Bankol for two matches, Sodiq Ismaila for two matches, and Franck Mawuena from Togo, who played three matches.

Enyimba has released goalkeeper Olorunlek Ojo, who participated in two matches. Remo Stars is expected to receive approximately $35,400, while Enyimba will receive around $4,720 as part of this program.
