Enyimba, Remo Stars to Gain from FIFA's $355M Program

Enyimba and Remo Stars are set to benefit from FIFA's $355 million club benefit program during the 2026 World Cup qualification campaign. FIFA confirmed that clubs releasing players for qualifying matches will receive at least $2,360 per player per match.

The total fund includes $100 million specifically for clubs releasing players during the qualification series, which runs from November 2023 to October 2025. Remo Stars will release four players, including goalkeeper Adebiyi Obassa and striker Franck Mawuena, while Enyimba will release goalkeeper Olorunlek Ojo.

Remo Stars expects to receive approximately $35,400 (around N48.14 million at an exchange rate of N1,360 to the dollar), while Enyimba anticipates about $4,720 (approximately N6.42 million). FIFA President Gianni Infantino noted that this program recognizes the essential contributions of clubs to international football.
