FIFA Sets May 30 Deadline for 2026 World Cup Squads

FIFA has announced that national teams must submit their final squad lists for the 2026 FIFA World Cup by May 30. This tournament will be historically significant as it will be jointly hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico, and will feature an expanded format of 48 teams.

The decision to maintain a 26-man squad size follows the format introduced during the 2022 FIFA World Cup, aimed at helping teams better manage injuries and suspensions amid a tight competition schedule.
