Mauricio Pochettino, the current head coach of the United States Men's National Team (USMNT), sent a message of support to Argentina captain Lionel Messi following his recent hat trick against Algeria. Pochettino emphasized that Messi is facing a challenging family situation, which he described as difficult.

He mentioned that Messi's father, Jorg Messi, is aware of the situation and wants to send support to the family. Pochettino, who previously coached Messi during their time together at Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in Ligue 1, praised Messi's remarkable achievement of participating in six World Cups and expressed admiration for Messi's ability to score a hat trick.
