Ibrahimovic Urges Argentina to Support Messi in World Cup

Zlatan Ibrahimovic, the former Sweden striker, conveyed a message to the Argentina players, particularly captain Lionel Messi, emphasizing the need for support on the pitch. Ibrahimovic spoke after Argentina's 3-2 win against Egypt in the World Cup round of 16, where Yasser Ibrahim and Mostafa Zico initially gave the North African team the lead.

However, Messi, along with Cristian Romero and Enzo Fernandez, helped secure the victory for Lionel Scaloni's side, allowing them to qualify for the World Cup quarter-finals. Ibrahimovic expressed a bit of criticism, stating that Messi's teammates need to elevate their performance to assist him, as Messi carries significant responsibility.

He noted that while Messi is capable of bringing the team to the final, he cannot do it alone and will require help from his fellow players.
