Ben White Receives England Call-Up After 2022 Absence

Ben White, a 28-year-old right-back for Arsenal, has been called up to the England national team for the first time since 2022. This call-up comes after Bayer Leverkusen's Jarel Quansah withdrew from the squad due to injury.

White, who has previously earned four caps, last featured for England in a 3-0 victory against the Ivory Coast in March 2022. He was not included in the squad during Gareth Southgate's tenure for the remainder of the World Cup campaign in Qatar due to personal reasons.

The upcoming friendlies for England include a match against Uruguay at Wembley on Friday, followed by another against Japan on March 31. White's teammate at Arsenal, Eberechi Eze, has been called up to replace Newcastle winger Harvey Barnes, who is also unavailable.
