FA Backs Tuchel After England's World Cup Semi-Final Loss
The English Football Association (FA) has expressed its unwavering support for head coach Thomas Tuchel after England's 2-1 loss to Argentina in the FIFA World Cup semi-final on Wednesday. Despite the defeat, which marked England's first semi-final appearance since 1966, the FA remains committed to Tuchel, who signed a two-year contract extension in February 2023.
Tuchel's mission is to lead England to glory in the UEFA Euro 2028, which will be co-hosted by England, Wales, Scotland, and the Republic of Ireland. FA Chief Executive Mark Bullingham praised the team's effort and acknowledged the heartbreak of the defeat, thanking the players, coaching staff, and fans.
Tuchel emphasized his commitment to leading England into the European Championship, despite the disappointment of falling short in the semi-finals. He noted the competitive nature of football and the significance of reaching the last four, while also looking forward to future challenges.
