The WTO's 2025 World Trade Report emphasizes that AI implementation could reduce trade costs, enhance productivity, and expand GDP.

However, the report warns that unequal access to AI technologies may exacerbate economic disparities. To realize the full potential of AI in trade, investments in semiconductor materials, digital infrastructure, education, and labor market policies are crucial.
