NECO Celebrates Staff and Students at 2025 Awards Ceremony

The National Examinations Council (NECO) held its 2025 Annual Staff Productivity Award Ceremony on Wednesday in Minna, Niger State, where it honored 55 retirees, top staff, and students. Prof. Ibrahim Dantani Wushishi, the Registrar of NECO, praised the council's workforce for their resilience and commitment, which allowed NECO to conduct uninterrupted examinations despite challenges such as Boko Haram insurgency, banditry, kidnapping, and sit-at-home orders.

Wushishi referred to the staff as the "army of NECO," emphasizing their dedication to performing duties under difficult circumstances. The awards aimed to celebrate outstanding contributions and encourage improved performance among staff.

Categories included recognition for the best-performing male and female candidates in NECO's 2025 examinations. Wushishi stated that the students are the ultimate beneficiaries of NECO's efforts and reiterated the council's commitment to enhancing its processes and maintaining examination credibility.
