Xabi Alonso Aims for Success as Chelsea Head Coach

Xabi Alonso was appointed as the head coach of Chelsea in May, taking over from Enzo Maresca after a challenging previous season for the club. Alonso, a former midfielder for Real Madrid and Liverpool, has begun his tenure by conducting training sessions and enjoying leisure activities such as golf at Longcross Course, Foxhills Country Club in Surrey.

He described his appointment as “a big privilege” and expressed his happiness and excitement about the opportunity to compete in the Premier League. Alonso believes in the potential of the players at Chelsea, stating his mission is to enhance their mentality, work ethic, and passion for the game.

He aims to lead the team to success and secure silverware by the conclusion of the 2026-27 campaign.
