YABATECH, CIG Partnership Expands as 25 Students Shine in China, Win ₦3m in Scholarships

Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH) has strengthened its partnership with Choice International Group (CIG), resulting in 25 engineering students winning academic scholarships worth ₦3 million to study at Hangzhou Vocational Technical College in China. These students excelled in academics, achieving high grades and demonstrating proficiency in Chinese language, cultural skills, Kung Fu, and Tai Chi.

One student even won a bronze medal in an innovation competition. CIG announced plans to employ 200 YABATECH graduates annually, with the first batch of 30 students set to participate in an exchange program in China.

The partnership aims to enhance capacity building, vocational education, and talent development. Additionally, a proposal to establish a laboratory at YABATECH to mirror Chinese practices was discussed during a recent visit by CIG executives.
