ICCA Partners with Innova to Enhance Cancer Care in Abuja

The International Cancer Centre Abuja (ICCA) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Singapore-based Innova Healthcare Nigeria Limited to create a fully integrated oncology centre at its facility located on Airport Road, Abuja. This partnership aims to provide comprehensive cancer care services, including radiotherapy, chemotherapy, surgical oncology, diagnostics, laboratory services, and palliative care, utilizing ICCA's existing infrastructure.

Arhyel Shadrach Ayuba, ICCA’s Communications Manager, stated that this collaboration is a significant step towards realizing the vision of accessible cancer care for Nigerians, as envisioned by the centre's founder, Hajiya Turai Yar’Adua, in 2009. ICCA's Director General, Shehu Yar’Adua, emphasized that this partnership brings the organization closer to its founding dream of eliminating the need for Nigerians to seek cancer treatment abroad.

Innova's Managing Director, Francis Shokoya, expressed the company's commitment to making cancer treatment accessible and affordable, while the collaboration will also focus on training Nigerian clinical and technical staff and investing in necessary equipment and infrastructure.
