Yari launches 2027 APC campaign push in Zamfara with focus on Tinubu's record

Senator Abdul'aziz Yari Abubakar, who heads President Bola Tinubu's 2027 campaign council, has started mobilization work in Zamfara State, beginning with meetings in his hometown of Talata Mafara and the state capital of Gusau. The campaign strategy centres on promoting the administration's record rather than directly attacking rival parties or candidates.

During consultations with APC party officials and local stakeholders on Friday, Yari called on party members to intensify voter engagement at the grassroots level across Zamfara. He stated that the campaign message would prioritize issues affecting Nigerians and the nation's future, with particular emphasis on what he described as the APC administration's economic accomplishments under President Tinubu.

Yari expressed conviction that the APC will secure victory in the 2027 general elections, citing the party's track record and commitment to economic recovery despite current challenges. He noted that his role as campaign director-general requires nationwide travel to promote Tinubu's achievements and vision, but he deemed it important to return to Zamfara specifically to seek backing from the state's political establishment.

The former Zamfara State governor emphasized the need for party unity as a prerequisite for electoral success in 2027. According to his statements, the campaign council will highlight the government's successes in economic management rather than rely on negative campaigning against opponents.
