APC Chieftain Accuses Yari of Plotting Party Hijack

Muhammad Kabir Ibrahim, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bauchi State, has accused former Zamfara State Governor Abdulaziz Yari of attempting to hijack party structures and destabilize its leadership in anticipation of the 2027 elections. Ibrahim alleged that Yari is scheming to influence the newly elected national chairman, Professor Nentaw, as part of a calculated move to emerge as a running mate to presidential candidate Bola Tinubu in the next general elections.

He described Yari's ambitions as dangerous and a deep disrespect to the party's leadership. Ibrahim warned that Yari's actions could compromise party unity and create an internal crisis for personal political gain.

He further alleged that Yari's loyalty to the party is questionable, raising concerns about a potential defection to the African Democratic Congress. Ibrahim called on President Bola Tinubu to ensure vigilance against Yari's alleged manipulations, emphasizing that no individual should undermine the party's internal democracy for selfish interests.
