ADC in Yobe State Denies Alliance with APC

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Yobe State issued a statement on Tuesday, dismissing claims of an alliance with the All Progressives Congress (APC). The party's chairman, Umar Alhaji, emphasized that Prof.

Muhammad Jawa, who made the claims, does not represent the party's leadership. The statement questioned Jawa's political credibility and loyalty, citing concerns over his past activities and his appointment as a special assistant to Governor Mai Mala Buni, which raised suspicions among party stakeholders.

The ADC expressed dissatisfaction with Jawa's performance during his tenure as chairman of the Membership Registration and Revalidation Committee, particularly regarding low membership registration across the state. The party accused him of maintaining close ties with the Obidient Movement, which they believe contributed to their defeat in the last state congress.

The ADC reaffirmed its commitment to providing credible opposition and urged members to disregard what they termed false and malicious allegations intended to create division within the party.
