Yobe Governor Appoints Moham Goje as Acting SSG

Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni has appointed Moham Goje as the acting Secretary to the State Government. This decision was announced in a statement issued on Wednesday by the Director General of Press and Media Affairs to the Governor, Mamman Moham.

Goje's appointment comes in the wake of the resignation of the former Secretary to the State Government, Baba Malam Wali, who stepped down to pursue his ambitions for the 2027 Yobe State governorship election. The development created a vacancy in the position, prompting the governor to approve an immediate replacement to ensure the continuity of government administrative functions.

The statement indicated that Goje will serve in this capacity until a new Secretary to the State Government is appointed. The appointment is effective immediately, and Goje will also coordinate emergency preparedness and response efforts across the state through the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA).
