Yobe State Supports 2026 National Data Verification Exercise

The Yobe State government has reiterated its support for the 2026 National Data Verification Exercise, which is crucial for verifying data submitted by state and local government councils. This initiative is essential for determining government funding for public primary, secondary, technical, vocational, and special schools, as well as public health facilities, including hospitals and their bed capacities.

Dr. Muhammad Lawan Gana, the Commissioner for Health and Human Services, provided assurances on behalf of the Yobe State government during a briefing with the Revenue Mobilization, Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) delegation. The exercise aligns with the constitutional mandate of the commission to review revenue allocation formulas to reflect changing realities.

Alhaji Abubakar Wamakko led the delegation, while Alhaji Modu Aji Juluri represented the commission in Yobe State, emphasizing the importance of accurate data verification throughout the exercise to enhance the living standards of Yobe citizens.
