Yobe Governor Buni Advocates Fair Primaries for APC

Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State stated that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is open to conducting fair and transparent primaries in preparation for the 2027 general elections. In a statement released by Mamman Mohammed, the Director General of Press and Media Affairs, Buni highlighted the importance of dialogue among stakeholders, including aspirants, to reach amicable solutions regarding candidate selection.

He noted that the party's approach would not exclude direct elections, and emphasized the need for consensus to avoid divisions. Buni expressed optimism that the APC would unite its members to support the party's candidates for various positions, including the presidency, governorship, and state assembly seats.

He reiterated the party's commitment to upholding democratic principles and ensuring that every member feels a sense of belonging as they work towards winning the upcoming elections, while also supporting Bola Ahmed Tinubu's bid for a second term.
