Dangote Warns Critics Against Monopoly Claims in Petroleum Sector

Billionaire businessman Dangote cautioned critics who allege a monopoly in the petroleum sector, urging them not to impede local investment and economic growth. Speaking in Abuja during the annual downstream petroleum week, Dangote emphasized the importance of encouraging product innovation and competition to drive sector growth.

He highlighted the capacity of Dangote Refinery to meet national fuel demands and its potential listing on the stock exchange to allow Nigerians to become shareholders. Aliyu Suleiman, the Group Chief Strategy Officer of Dangote Industries Limited, echoed the call for policies that foster competitiveness in the economy.
