Cleric Critiques Tinubu's Re-election Bid in Anambra

Prophet Ikechukwu Uzukwu, the Spiritual Head of Soul Revival Outreach located in Nnewi, Anambra State, publicly criticized President Bola Ahmed Tinubu regarding his administration's performance. Speaking to journalists at his church office on Tuesday, Uzukwu stated that Tinubu has not done enough to warrant a second term in office.

He highlighted issues such as poor electricity supply, insecurity, and inadequate infrastructure as significant failures of the current administration. Uzukwu also noted that many companies and industries have shut down during Tinubu's tenure, leading to increased unemployment, particularly among the youth.

He expressed surprise at Tinubu's bid for re-election amid worsening socio-economic conditions in the country. Uzukwu emphasized that political leaders should remember the temporary nature of public office and referenced historical leaders like Samuel Doe, Idi Amin, and Mobutu Sese Seko, who, despite their power, eventually faced downfall.

He advocated for leaders to emulate Nelson Mandela, who voluntarily left office.
