Nigerian Rep Advises Atiku to Step Aside from Partisan Politics for Younger Leaders

Muham Basil, a representative from Jada/Ganye/Toungo/Mayo-Belwa Federal Constituency in Adamawa State, has urged former Vice President Atiku to withdraw from partisan politics and assume the role of an elder statesman. Basil, a member of the People Democratic Party (PDP), believes Atiku's political experience should be utilized for the nation's development rather than his active involvement in partisan activities.

Basil acknowledges Atiku's significant contributions to Nigeria's development and suggests that stepping aside from active politics would allow Atiku to preserve his legacy and give a chance to younger leaders. Basil's advice comes ahead of the 2027 general elections where PDP remains dominant in Adamawa State.
