Kanam LGA Boss Accused of Abandoning Community Amid Insecurity

Tarub Salim Dugub, a resident of Kanam Local Government Area in Plateau State, has publicly accused the council chairman, Hon. Salihu Ayuba Musa, of abandoning the community to face escalating insecurity.

In an open letter dated Tuesday, February 17, Dugub expressed deep concern over the current security situation following attacks by suspected Fulani bandits, which resulted in multiple fatalities and injuries in Garga Town. He criticized the chairman for failing to act decisively and for remaining in Jos while the community suffers daily attacks.

Dugub emphasized the urgent need for the chairman's constant presence to reassure residents and coordinate security efforts effectively. He called for immediate action to restore safety and justice in the area, highlighting the detrimental impact of the chairman's absence on community morale and security management.

Dugub urged Hon. Musa to engage directly with the community to address their concerns and restore confidence in local governance.
