Obidient Movement Questions Tinubu's UNGA Absence

The Obidient Movement has publicly challenged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu regarding his absence from the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) for three consecutive years. In a statement from its Media and Communications Directorate, the group expressed concern over Tinubu's choice to vacation in France while other world leaders, including French President Emmanuel Macron, attend the UNGA in New York.

The Movement questioned why Tinubu could engage in a private dinner with Macron but could not represent Nigeria at such a significant diplomatic event. They highlighted that the UNGA serves as a vital platform for Nigeria to present its interests and engage with global leaders on pressing issues.

The statement criticized the Nigerian government's justification for Tinubu's absence, which cited his annual leave and focus on domestic priorities, asserting that Nigerians deserve transparency and answers regarding his official engagements.
