Dangote Refinery has responded to claims suggesting it imports petrol into Nigeria, vowing to reveal the identities and motivations of those spreading such misinformation. The refinery issued a statement on Monday, refuting reports attributed to an international intelligence firm.

The firm clarified that it does not import petrol into Nigeria but pursues alternative feedstock to improve its operations. The refinery's stance was highlighted during an S&P Global forum in the United Kingdom, where it was acknowledged for its role in reshaping the global refining landscape.

Dangote Refinery emphasized that it operates in line with global best practices, utilizing feedstock blending components rather than importing petrol. The company described the claims as inaccurate and deceptive, asserting its commitment to operational excellence and adherence to industry standards.
