Wike's Ex-Aide Urges Fubara to Seek Re-Election

Opunabo Inko Tariah, a former special adviser on media to Nyesom Wike, has publicly encouraged Rivers State Governor Fubara to announce his intention to seek re-election. Speaking in Port Harcourt, Tariah expressed his belief that Fubara could achieve victory without the backing of Bola Tinubu.

He lamented the current low political activity in Rivers State as the general elections approach, criticizing political parties and politicians for their lack of preparation. Tariah attributed this situation to a power struggle that he claims is influencing the political process in the state.

He urged Fubara to leverage organizational support to clarify his intentions, expressing concern that the people may not prevail in the upcoming 2027 elections if candidates are imposed upon them.
