Nigerian Students Shine with Road Safety Innovations at VIA National Competition 2025 Finals

Young Nigerian students showcased innovative road safety solutions at the VIA National Competition 2025 National Finals held at Eko Tower 2, Victoria Island, Lagos. The VIA Programme Safe Mobility event brought together students from Lagos, Rivers, and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) who presented projects addressing pedestrian safety, speeding, drunk driving, and safe school zones.

Launched in May 2025, the VIA Programme, a collaboration between TotalEnergies Nigeria, NNPC, and TotalEnergies Foundation, aims to empower students to advocate for safer roads. Over the past month, 30 public secondary schools and 600 students participated in the program, culminating in a competition where nine finalists showcased their solutions.

The event highlighted practical strategies for safer school mobility and community road safety challenges.
