Young Yoruba King Akinghare II Celebrates Graduation
Oba Oloyede Adekoya Akinghare II, the Arujale-Ojima of Okeluse Kingdom, celebrated his graduation from Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti, on October 21, 2026. A video from the event showed excited female fans kneeling before him in a traditional Yoruba display of respect.
One fan even posed for a photograph with the young monarch. His composed reaction during the interactions drew considerable attention on social media, with many users commenting on the moment.
The graduation ceremony was notable due to his status as the youngest sitting Yoruba traditional ruler. Prominent figures, including Oba Enitan Adeyeye, attended the convocation.
Following the event, Oba Oloyede Adekoya Akinghare II issued a directive through his Chief of Staff, Amb. Prince Adefemi Michael Olorunfemi, addressing the growing trend of disrespectful ways of addressing him due to his age.
